Oklahoma native killed at Pearl Harbor laid to rest in his hometown

In October 2020, I reported on the coming home of Rex E. Wise, a World War II veteran who was killed at Pearl Harbor but could not be identified after the attack. His remains were brought home by the U.S. Navy on the 245th birthday of the Navy, and he was buried on what would have been his 100th birthday. I covered this story for The Blackwell (Okla.) Journal-Tribune, The Wichita (Kans.) Eagle, The Oklahoman (Oklahoma City), and The Tulsa (Okla.) World. It was also published online by Stars and Stripes. This post includes coverage of the day he was buried in Braman, Oklahoma.
